A little about me:
My name is Abby Stachnik and I’m an artist living in the Coastal Virginia area. My interest in live wedding painting began when I painted a portrait of myself and my husband for our wedding last year in October. I loved and enjoyed it so much, that it became my goal to offer my services to other couples who wish to have a very special and personal keepsake of their own, to remember the best day of their lives.
THE PROCESS
If you’ve taken a look at my website and work (and my most recent work on instagram!) you’ll send me an email through the contact form available below or on the contact page.
Next, we’ll have a quick chat on the phone about what you’re looking for in a wedding painting, your wedding vibes, and we’ll get to know each other better. Once you’ve decided we’re a good fit, you’ll place an initial deposit to hold your date.
Before your wedding, we’ll have another phone call to discuss more details and double check all of the information we’ve decided on thus far.
DAY OF:
On the day of, I’ll arrive 2-3 hours early to begin planning and painting the location of your choice. If you choose to have your painting done from an intimate first look photo, I will meet you at the first look location, snap some adorable photos of you and your partner, and then head to the ceremony space to begin painting.
As the day continues, I will move my set-up to the reception space, where I will continue painting.
When I reach a “finished for the night” point, I will grab you and your partner for the big reveal moment!
Afterward, I will pack up, and head home. The painting will leave with me so that I can put those finishing touches on the piece at the studio.
When your painting is finished, I will send you photos and add a layer of varnish to seal and preserve the paint. Then, after a month or so your painting will be shipped to you or delivered based on your location.

WATERCOLOR PAINTING OF YOUR VENUE AND/OR SAVE-THE-DATE & WEDDING INVITATION DESIGN IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE
Travel Note: 60 miles of travel outside my home is included with any package, beyond 60 miles is $1/mile. An additional fee of $50 will be charged for 3+ hours of travel, and $100 beyond 4+ hours.

Most likely just a small area to set up my equipment, I will bring everything with me. If there is inclement weather I will require a covered area to work. Oil and water do not mix well!
